It is with very great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Lesley Dodd, who died at Northwick Park Hospital on Sunday 26th December after a short, unexpected illness. Lesley worked with St Luke's Hospice for over 27 years before continuing as a volunteer, alongside her husband, Doug.

Lesley first became involved with St Luke's as a volunteer in our first ever shop in Harrow. She then went on to work for the hospice, establishing our Fundraising Department.

Lesley became the organiser of our annual long distance walks, retiring after the wonderful St Cuthbert's Way walk in 2016. These walks raised well over £2 million for St Luke’s and were very much “Lesley’s” walks. They continue to be extremely successful which is a great legacy to her involvement and passion.

Lesley had tremendous knowledge about the Hospice and her connections throughout the whole of Harrow and Brent helped raised awareness of our work, and reach many people. After retiring, Lesley and Doug were still greatly involved with St Luke’s, especially through our archiving project and indeed Lesley was volunteering at the Hospice until shortly before Christmas 2020.

We send our deepest condolences to Doug, and to her sister Jennifer.
